In a move that must come as a relief for Yahoo shareholders, Terry Semel resigns as Yahoos CEO. This followedÂ a lackluster couple of years where Yahoos share price had stagnated and Google shares rocketed

Semel was reportedly one of the highest paid executives in the US with stock options running into the many many tens of millions per anum.

Lets be honest Semel typified the lazy scumbag exec who robs the shareholders having the balls to pay himself hundreds of millions while the stock stagnates

Why the movie?, perhaps Microsoftâ€™s OS was just not evil enough for them

In a follow up update to a previous story EBay trows a hissey fit and pulls adwords Google have decided to cancel their party to promote their competing payment product on the same night as eBays annual party.

An eBay source Mr. Durzy said, â€œWe are pleased that they apparently have seen that the party was inappropriate, It is not the way one partner should act with another.â€

EBay had pulled all adWords Google advertising to the tune of 25+ million dollars a quarter. They have not as yet renewed their advertising with Google hence the (kind of) in the title.

Dimwit U.S. Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Chooljian Torrentspy ruling shows up federal judiciary June 14, 2007

In a ruling that is sure to go down as one of the stupidest court ruling in recent times, a federal judge in Los Angeles found that a computer server’s RAM, is a tangible legal document that should be stored and must be turned over in a lawsuit.

The ruling was handed down while Judge Chooljian was presiding over a court fight between the film industry and TorrentSpy.

Dean McCarron, principle analyst at Mercury Research, said the judge erred by defining volatile computer memory as “electronically stored information.”

This is another blow to whats left of civil liberties in the US, the simple result will be more and more websites moving jurisdiction outside the US
