Category : SEO News, SEO News for Mobile , 1 comment so farIn an effort to bolster the flagging Microsoft Live service offering and to compete with existing Image services from Google and Yahoo, Microsoft will is BETA testing photo sharing and free web based folder file sharing.
Beta testers are being given 500 megabytes of online storage. Though they can share files with anyone they wish, people who are invited to use a shared folder have to sign up for a Windows Live ID for authentication, said Brian Hall, general manager of the Windows Live business group.
"This is the second generation" of Windows Live, said Hall.
If they could just improve Live search they might be on the right track, as it is if they did not have the install base of windows users pointing traffic to Live search, they would be nowhere.
Judge to Google, you are not the justice department!

The judge said she would hear the government's views on how to deal with the concerns.
Google had previously requested to know specifically what Changes Microsoft were going to make to Vista in order to allow other search / index technologies to coexist in Vista.

Yahoo mobile go will offer mobile maps, oneSearch, Yahoo Mail, users will be able to open many common attachments, including Word, Excel and PDF files, end news content formatted for mobile devices.
They have also signed deals with 6 Asian mobile carriers; Asia has one of the fastest growing mobile market in the world.
With the introduction of new phones like iPhone and faster telecoms networks, it is widely viewed that 2007 will see a large growth in mobile internet use.

It does underscore the need for Yahoo to do something to gain momentum and market share in its social networking, and search marketing offerings.
